The Story

This culture is unlike any other and offers an extraordinarily complex flavor profile resulting in balanced acidity with moderate tropical and pomme fruit aromas. This complexity allows for a range of flavour profiles that can be achieved depending on how it is blended with other yeasts or added to different beer styles. 

 This is one of the hottest propietary house blend of Tripping Animals Brewing in Doral, FL and is the ultimate blend of organisms perfect for your next kettle sour. 

Optimum fermentation temperature range is between 40-43℃/105-110℉ and typically sours the wort within 12-24 hours. 

Characteristics:

  • Complex flavor profile resulting in moderate tropical (pineapple) and pomme (apple) fruit aromas.
  • An extremely quick pH drop! Souring is typically achieved in less than 24 hours, dropping the wort from a pH of ~5 to ~3.5.
  • It is recommended to add hops after the lactic acid fermentation so the organisms are not inhibited.

We highly recommend a Dry Ice Pack or two for your yeasts voyage OR for a short stay in our pick up lockers in the warmer months of the year.

PurePitch Next Generation represents double the pitching rate of the normal WLP6420 homebrew sachets and ensures a fool proof fermentation without the need for a starter. The commercial recommended pitching rate of 7.5 millions cells/mL allows you to pitch like the pros!

PurePitch Next Generation WLP6420 provides homebrewers and small scale brewers a convenient and modular package to pitch a consistent commercially recommended pitching rate for standard ale ranges of 7.5 million cells/mL per 20L.
